  • UGH!!!!!!!!

    Everything about today sucks. I got a bad dye job at the salon yesterday, and today my hair is bright red with undertones of pink and purple. It's garish and disgusting and I fucking hate it. I also woke up feeling sick, with really bad dizziness/vertigo, and my allergies have taken over my life. If my eyes aren't running and itchy and red and gross, it's not a day ending in Y. Plus I feel ugly and panic attacky,  and just generally like crap. I've tried calling people to talk, and after every call, I end up feeling worse instead of better. This sucks so bad. If I could just sleep the day away so it would be over sooner, I would, but even that is impossible because of the racing heart and panic bullshit.

    I'm so miserable right now.

  • go back to the salon and demand they re do it. If you aren't happy with it, they should redo it for free. And if they won't? Don't go back there and tell them you're gonna post a public review on (well here i would say boston.com....so whatever is local). Then walk out.

    *hugs* hope you feel better. We can at least get tthem to fix the hair!

  • @teefahknee - I did go back and they "fixed" it for free. But it still isn't right! And I can't do anything else to it right now because my hair will become way too overprocessed. FUCK.

    I'm sorry I couldn't talk very long this morning, and I hope I didn't make the conversation feel rushed. I feel like a jerk - I should have called you back this afternoon, but once I got home today, I basically just collapsed and laid around feeling awful, and trying to nap. (This whole being exhausted AND sick thing is kicking my ass.) I'll call you tomorrow. I love you much!

    P.S. How was the storm for you earlier? It was raining cats and dogs over here, and I could hear tornado sirens!

    P.S.S. The party I went to last night had Drop Dead Gorgeous as its theme. It was being played on a projector, and I kept constantly quoting it and thinking of you. "She had a big ass then, she's got a big ass now..."

  • Stay strong little dove :D Even the craziest hair on the street only draws attention to your otherwise beautiful and crazy self, just hold on tight until the panic and allergies stop ravaging your system (and I feel your pain there, every kleenex box in my office and at home is empty, and my glovebox is out of napkins).  In the mean time, enjoy the wonderfulfantastic weather (lightning and rain for weeks, it's like our state moved to a different country) and drink lots of sleepytime tea because it is the best.

  • @Drawy_McIllustrator - It's ok. I was sad you couldn't talk, but I was being oversensitive. So sorry you're sick. Do you need soup or anything? I can bring you stuff if you ever need me to. And omg. A Drop Dead Gorgeous themed party? That is FANTASTIC. Maybe we could do a theme for my birthday or something. I've always wanted to do something fun like that.

    P.S. Omg I need Election back!!! It was on TV the other night, and I was SO SAD I couldn't just pop the DVD in and watch it. Come over soon and we'll watch it together - this time without someone having a seizure. Better yet, come watch the Helvetica documentary with me.

    @Drawy_McIllustrator - @BearVsUnicorn - The weather here was awesome all weekend. I love this and don't want it to ever end. We had lots of rumbling thunder and lightning, rain, hail, and the tornado sirens were going off nearly constantly. And the smell. Oh, man...the smell of fresh rain. Ahhh.

    @BearVsUnicorn - Thank you. I've gotten compliments on it today, so maybe it isn't so bad after all. If our allergies are still terrible the next time we hang out, we can commiserate together. I'll bring the tissues, you bring the Benadryl.

  • one time my mom told me that one of her students had a ferret nest in her hair.  so... at least you *just* have a bad dye job, right!?

  • @shelly100 - wait... what?  i think you misunderstood my comment.  the student had a nest in her hair.  mean?  maybe.  gross?  hell fucking yes.

  • @jim_the_american - Ohhhh. Yes, I misunderstood. I thought the student said your MOM had a ferret's nest in her hair. Reading your comment from start to finish without doing 3 other things probably would have helped my reading comprehension.

  • I hope your week starts out better than yesterday. I know you're not happy with the dye job, but I bet it still looks better than other people's!
